Don't make me take off my Mod cap

Again, I never said we had a horrible team. I know I post longer than "tweet-length," but it helps to read the entire post. I merely said that Boedker is better-suited for an offensive-minded team rather than our defense-first approach (which is
not a bad thing). Still, I personally have become a bit frustrated with the "play-for-the-point" mentality of late (which I did see in this thread's game--it would have been much nicer to comeback and whoop them in regulation rather than taking it to the SO). Instead of actually trying to close things out in regulation, we end up shutting the opponent down in hopes that we can attain that playoff spot for yet another 1st round exit. Trust me, I hope we make it to the playoffs and at least go the the second round (that would show progress in my mind), I just don't think we
currently have the right "team-balance" to succeed in the playoffs this season. Of course, I realize the importance of making it to the playoffs (in terms of revenue), but I would actually like to see my team "play to win" rather than "play to make it to the playoffs in hopes that it increases owner interest in the team and to increase our revenue streams to make up for some of the shortfall we have taken as we sit in the limbo of ownership/marketing."

And in terms of my "predictions," you should really not take them too seriously since I'm merely entertaining myself with them (much like you tend to do with a fair share of your posts

) In actuality, I have begun reverse-predicting out of fear that if I predict a 'Yotes win, we will hid a losing skid that will take us out of the playoff picture. Of course, now that I confessed that, I won't be making predictions until the 'Yotes drop a game or two (so let's hope I won't be making any predictions for the rest of the season).
